Did you know there are still misconceptions about the technology and the many benefits of going TANKLESS? We are excited to share with you a recent video produced by Matt Risinger from The Build Show that addresses some of the most common myths we frequently hear about that are simply untrue.

Hopefully everyone in snow-zone affected areas has survived the worst of the severe weather, and maybe even had a chance to enjoy the peace and beauty of all that white stuff, and partake in the excitement the first big snow brings to children and (grown children) everywhere.

The night before the storm, we sent out a communication to all of our Tankless customers and wanted to post the same information here, in case it is helpful to those who may not be on our mailing list, and as a reminder in case of future severe weather:

KEEP VENT TERMINATION CLEAR
This communication is a reminder to keep your tankless water heater / boiler vent termination clear of snow.  The water heater / boiler will not function properly if the vent termination is blocked or even partially blocked by snow.  It is best if the vent termination has 1 - 2' of clearance.  Please feel free to call or email us with questions.

RUR RE-CIRCULATING TANKLESS UNITS
Customers with Rinnai RUR re-circulating units should consider turning off the recirculation feature at night so that the water heater does not attempt to start up when the vent termination may be blocked by snow.

BACK-UP POWER REQUIRED DURING ELECTRICITY OUTAGE
Water heaters and boilers require electricity to operate. Rinnai and Navien water heaters and boilers will not operate in a power outage unless you have a generator or battery backup system. Battery backup systems can be purchased
