One of our clients shares the great experience she had with her Tankless Concepts installation and her continued satisfaction a year into ownership.  I had an excellent experience with Tankless Concepts. They came in and replaced my old tank water heater with a Rinnai tankless a little over a year ago. They were completely forthcoming with all the details of the install from how he made the decision of where to install the exhaust (with my input) to the breakdown of the costs. All permits, inspections, and Washington Gas interactions were handled professionally and efficiently. My gas line from Washington Gas had to upgraded to accommodate the new tankless heater. The actual install took less than a day and couldn't have gone smoother. The workmanship is beautiful. And now, more than a year later, I have had no problems and have been very satisfied with my decision to install a tankless water heater. It's official! Work Completed: Service for Tankless Water Heater I was very favorably impressed by the service. I left a message at about 9:30am to report the problem, received a callback at noon to let us know that a technician might be able to get to us before 3:00pm. At about 3:00, we received a call that the job he was on had taken too long for him to reach us, but that he could either come at 4:00 or on the following Monday, our choice. We opted for that afternoon, and he arrived promptly at 4:00, went immediately to work, and finished by a little after 5:00. The technician was very professional and very pleasant, explaining to me exactly what he was doing as he proceeded to analyze and fix the problem and then do a general maintenance checkup on the unit. We will certainly hire this firm for regular maintenance and would hire it to replace the unit if we decided we wanted another tankless water heater. - James C of Silver Spring, MD
 Important Reminders for Severe WeatherHopefully everyone in snow-zone affected areas has survived the worst of the severe weather, and maybe even had a chance to enjoy the peace and beauty of all that white stuff, and partake in the excitement the first big snow brings to children and (grown children) everywhere. The night before the storm, we sent out a communication to all of our Tankless customers and wanted to post the same information here, in case it is helpful to those who may not be on our mailing list, and as a reminder in case of future severe weather: KEEP VENT TERMINATION CLEAR This communication is a reminder to keep your tankless water heater / boiler vent termination clear of snow. The water heater / boiler will not function properly if the vent termination is blocked or even partially blocked by snow. It is best if the vent termination has 1 - 2' of clearance. Please feel free to call or email us with questions. RUR RE-CIRCULATING TANKLESS UNITS Customers with Rinnai RUR re-circulating units should consider turning off the recirculation feature at night so that the water heater does not attempt to start up when the vent termination may be blocked by snow. BACK-UP POWER REQUIRED DURING ELECTRICITY OUTAGE Water heaters and boilers require electricity to operate. Rinnai and Navien water heaters and boilers will not operate in a power outage unless you have a generator or battery backup system. Battery backup systems can be purchased TANKLESS SERVICE Keep your boiler / tankless water heater in tip-top shape. Regular maintenance keeps them running properly and helps them last longer.
