Tankless Concepts is a trade name of Fireside Specialties, Inc. Fireside Specialties, Inc. was established in 1986 by owner/operator Ed Clark. The initial focus of the business was the installation of woodstoves and fireplaces. Fireside Specialities began installing gas lines and venting as a subcontractor to The Woodburners Two in 1995. As a Washington Gas Associate, Fireside Specialties performed meter splits for Washington Gas customers from 2001 to 2005. Today, Fireside Specialties installs gas lines for generators, furnaces, ranges, grills, and fireplaces. Fireside Specialties operates under a Virginia Class A Contractors License # 2701-028300-A with a Home Improvement rating. Fireside Specialties is a member of the Better Business Bureau.
Fireside Specialties, Inc. began trading under the name of Tankless Concepts in 2006 as the business shifted to focus on the installation of tankless water heaters and other earth friendly appliances such as the Metlund D'Mand recirculating pump, gas space heaters, and gas fireplaces. Tankless Concepts has been recognized by its customers for outstanding customer service and by Rinnai as the Preferred Dealer, Installer, and Servicer for Northern Virginia and Maryland. Tankless Concepts is also an Authorized Dealer/Installer for Navien and Noritz tankless water heaters.
Ed Clark is the owner and operator of Fireside Specialties, Inc. and Tankless Concepts. Ed is also the master plumber and senior estimator. Ed has over 40 years of plumbing and gas fitter related experience and over 30 years of experience in the hearth industry. He has been licensed as a Master Plumber and Gas Fitter in the state of Virginia since July 1996 and in Maryland since July 2008. His educational background includes a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and numerous trade-related courses. He is currently a member of International Code Council and the Plumbing and Mechanical Professionals of Virginia (PMPV), a chartered affiliate of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association (PHCC). Ed has established three companies over the course of his career - Clark's Hearth & Patio, Fireside Specialties, and Tankless Concepts. His success in business is a result of his customer service, quality/safety focus, and business vision.
